Products which are held in stock may be delivered within 5 weeks of order. These are indicated as standard items. Furniture labelled as made-to-order take 10-14 weeks to arrive. Please speak to one of our team who can advise you on lead time.
The cost of your delivery is automatically calculated at the checkout. It is based on the total order weight of products being purchased.
DELIVERY OF STANDARD ITEMS
Standard items are dispatched within 5 - 7 working days from the date of order directly from our warehouse in China to the delivery address given at the time of purchase. This items have a delivery time of 3 - 5 weeks. Once the item is dispatched you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number, tracking information may take up to 7 days to update. All orders must be signed for upon delivery; if no one is available to sign for the delivery, a card outlining alternative arrangements will be left or, if the courier has a delivery Access Point, your order will be deposited there and a card containing the collection point’s details will be left for your convenience. On receipt of the goods, please check for any damage to packaging and item(s) before signing the delivery confirmation. Please inform courier/driver of any damage. Failure to do so will be taken as acceptance by you that all goods were received in perfect condition.
NOTE: Standard items may be subject to duty and customs charges because they are dispatched directly from China. It's the buyer's responsibility to pay these charges. You’ll be contacted by the postal service or courier company via email or post explaining how to pay any duty and fees dealing with customs. They’ll normally hold your parcel for about 3 weeks. If you haven’t paid the fee by then, it’ll be sent back. If an order is undelivered because the wrong details have been provided or refused we reserve the right, at our discretion, to charge 10% of the total cost of the order to the customer to cover return, storage and insurance.
DELIVERY OF MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS
Large items and items labelled as Made-to-Order are delivered to your door via freight forwarding service. Made-to-Order items are defined as items that are ordered to customer’s specifications and put into production as per these specifications. All Made-to-Order items are clearly labelled as such on the corresponding product page.
Made-to-Order items have a lead time of 10 - 14 weeks; once your order has been cleared by customs, you will be contacted by email informing you of the scheduled home delivery. Deliveries are to ground floor/front door. Our delivery personnel will bring your items to the front door or the closest possible ground floor location (such as the lobby). They will not go upstairs or enter the residence (due to liability reasons). The customer is responsible for transport beyond this point. For some items, we always recommend 2 persons to install into your property. It is important you prepare for this. Our obligation is to get the product to you safely but not inside your house. The order is left in the original packaging. Deliveries do not include unpacking, assembly or installation unless otherwise stated. Your home delivery will be scheduled with an estimated date of delivery given by the courier company.
All orders must be signed for upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the delivery, the courier will return the item(s) to their facility, in which case, please contact the courier to rearrange the delivery. On receipt of the goods, please check the packaging before opening it, and photograph any external damage, before signing the delivery confirmation. In the unlikely event that the item has also been damaged, the courier company/driver must be informed directly upon delivery; it is important to keep the packaging as the courier company must view the contents for any claim to be accepted. Failure to do so will be taken as acceptance by you that all goods were received in perfect condition and no claim can be made for a repair or replacement.
On the product page for each item, you will see an estimated lead time e.g. '10 - 14 weeks'. Lead Time is the processing or production period of the item, final courier delivery is not included in this period. The time required for courier delivery is in addition and will depend on your location. Please note that stated Lead Times are estimations and not guarantees; they can vary depending on 3rd party providers and logistics. M-Edition cannot be held liable for any delays caused by 3rd parties, including suppliers, courier companies or customs.
Delivery is not available to all countries. If shipping is provided to your country, the shipping fee will be added upon entering your country. If we are unable to deliver to your location, you will get a message stating that we don't sell to that country. Shipping charges will be calculated at the checkout and will be based on size, weight and destination. We aim to keep our delivery charges as competitive as possible.
NOTE: Multiple-product orders are charged depending on your delivery destination and net weight of items. Sometimes products may arrive separately but you will only be charged one shipping fee per order. Please provide a full postal address for delivery – we cannot ship to PO Boxes.
Standard items are dispatched directly from our manufacturer in Asia to the delivery address given at the time you place your order and may be subject to customs and clearance fees, duties and taxes, which are payable by the customer prior to their delivery. All cross-border duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Failure to make payment will result in delays and potential storage fees of which M-Edition cannot be held responsible and ultimately the return of the Goods and further costs accrued. The customer is fully responsible for checking their country’s unique policies and rulings with regards to import. M-Edition cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred from the release of goods from any customs office. Please be advised that we reserve the right to deduct 10% of the total value of the order, from any refund to cover return, storage and insurance, for shipment of goods refused by the customer at Customs in the destination country.
Large and Made-to-Order items are delivered to your door via road freight forwarding service and all EU cross-border duties and taxes have been paid for prior to delivery.
